What is Truth?

"For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible... all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."  Colossians 1:16-17

The message of Truth we declare to young and old alike is based upon the literal, grammatical, contextual, and historical interpretation of the entire Scripture (Old and New Testaments). We proclaim these truths of the Bible, being confident that God is glorified and humanity’s needs are met when His truths are presented and obeyed.

"What is Truth" is based upon the truths of Scripture firmly rooted in our Creator.   To supplement our study of The Creator and His creation, Evolution vs. God produced by Living Waters is a valuable tool to speak directly to the heart of the issue along with the following information from Answers in Genesis.

It is our prayer that all come to know the Savior Jesus Christ and all that He has done for you through His salvation and His creation. We encourage you to take a moment and watch this video and hear expert testimonies from leading evolutionary scientists from some of the world's top universities:

• Peter Nonacs, Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, UCLA
• Craig Stanford, Professor, Biological Sciences and Anthropology, USC
• PZ Myers, Associate Professor, Biology, University of Minnesota Morris
• Gail E. Kennedy, Associate Professor, Anthropology, UCLA

Is there really a God? God—an Eternal, Uncreated Being?

In our everyday experience, just about everything seems to have a beginning. In fact, the laws of science show that even things which look the same through our lifetime, such as the sun and other stars, are, in reality, running down. The sun is using up its fuel at millions of tons each second—since the sun cannot last forever, it had to have a beginning. The same can be shown to be true for the entire universe.

Six Days or Millions of Years

Six Days or Millions of Years?

When one picks up a Bible, reads Genesis chapter 1, and takes it at face value, it seems to say that God created the world, the universe, and everything in them in six ordinary (approximately 24 hour) days. However, there is a view in our churches which has become prevalent over the years that these “days” could have been thousands, millions, or even billions of years in duration. Does it really matter what length these days were? Is it possible to determine whether or not they were ordinary days, or long periods of time?
